About

Ideas that change everything, TEDxCastlemaine takes Castlemaine to the world and brings the world to Castlemaine including a diverse range of speakers, sharing ideas that changed everything for them and their journey. Inspiring us to make our own positive changes in the world. This is the first of three sessions (on Friday 25 October), and is a must-see event at the Theatre Royal featuring some of the most inspiring artists and arts leaders working in Australia and overseas: Australian legend, James Morrison; Director of the Shepparton Arts Festival, Katrina Retallick; Rod Quantock well-loved pioneer of Australian comedy, local Central Victorians: David Bromley and Basil Eliades, two world class artists, and one of Australia's most respected and acknowledged ballet dancers, Simon Dow; as well as CEO of Regional Arts Victoria, Jo Porter, and Indigenous artist, storyteller, dancer and activist, Ky-ya Nicholson Ward.

All shows have a small amount of unallocated balcony seating, but are set up as standing room and general admission, unless specifically promoted as a “fully seated show”.

Make sure to visit our Beer Garden (open in the warmer months).
