Guided By Horses: a fundraiser for The Rotary Foundation’s End Polio Now campaign

See the new feature-length documentary Guided By Horses (Sean O'Reilly, 2026), filmed in the Kimberley region at a sanctuary for First Nations youth created by Aboriginal researcher Professor Juli Coffin, and support The Rotary Foundation's End Polio Now campaign.
Coffin, whose own life was once saved by her bond with an equine companion, has build a sanctuary as a culturally safe space to pair teenagers and young adults with horses, and this film documents some of those remarkable, transformative journeys. Executive-produced by Hunter Page-Lochard, Huna Amweero, Daniel Gordon, Mark Coles Smith and Stephen Page, Guided By Horses combines observational footage with first-person testimony, set against the stunningly cinematic backdrop of some of Australia’s most majestic landscapes.
After premiering at the Melbourne International Film Festival, this special screening is a fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Castlemaine, and will be accompanied by an introduction from local Rotarians. Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 35 years, and their advocacy efforts have played a role in decisions by governments to contribute more than US$10 billion to the effort.
